Qui-Gon stared in disbelief at the datapad. He'd no idea things had come this far. He'd known Obi-Wan had been troubled for some time, and that he was coming close to making some sort of decision concerning his feelings. Qui-Gon had hoped he would finally come to him, to talk about them.
He'd rather been planning a nice conversation, when and if that happened. But apparently it wasn't going to. Whatever his reasons, Obi-Wan had decided to avoid the issue entirely. Frowning, Qui-Gon set the datapad down.
"Well?" Mace asked.
"I have to go talk to Obi-Wan."
"It's about time." Mace was smiling.
Qui-Gon turned his frown at his friend. "If you say 'I told you so'...."
"Me? Never. Go find your Padawan." Mace moved out of the way, graciously waving him towards the door. Qui-Gon glowered at him for good measure on his way past.
He got halfway down the hallway when he discovered Master Traele heading his way.
"Master Jinn," the woman called. "I must speak with you."
Qui-Gon tells her to wait.
