Obi-Wan followed the Senator towards the waiting ship. He saw, on one side, the insignia for the Republic Senate. There were no other identifying markings. This, then, would be the Senator's personal ship. Obi-Wan wondered why the Senator was giving him such personal attention. Surely such a man would have more important things to do than give an inebriated Jedi Padawan a ride home.
The man palmed open the door, and motioned Obi-Wan inside. Obi-Wan went, trying to clear his dizzy thoughts. He must have had more to drink than he'd thought.
"Please, make yourself comfortable," the Senator said, indicating a long, padded bench along one bulkhead.
Obi-Wan sat down, trying to maintain some appearance of control. The Senator moved forward, towards the nose of the shuttle. Obi-Wan tried to listen, but could not hear the Senator speaking to a pilot.
He grew more curious, when the Senator did not immediately return. Getting up, he took a step towards the cockpit. Obi-Wan stared at the now-closed door through which the Senator had gone, arguing with himself about being ungracious -- and paranoid.
Obi-Wan goes after the Senator.
Obi-Wan remains where he is.
